All male U.S. citizens and immigrant non-citizens between age 18 and 25 must register with the Selective Service.
If you are preparing Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, you'll need to provide your Selective Service number and the date registered (Part 12, Question 44).
Obtaining proof of your Selective Service registration is easy. Use the Selective Service Online Verification. You'll need to provide a last name, Social Security number, and date of birth. You will instantly be provided with a verification letter than can be printed or saved to your computer.
Enter the information on your Form N-400 application. Save a copy of the Selective Service verification letter for your records.
