What is biometrics?

Biometrics refers to the identification of humans by physiological characteristics of the body. It is a term that covers methods such as fingerprinting, photographs, face recognition and iris recognition to name a few.

Biometrics are required with USCIS forms like the I-90 and I-131. At a USCIS biometrics appointment, your fingerprints will be taken for analysis and filed with the FBI.
