Part 9 of Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, asks about "time outside the United States."

Question 1: Enter the total number of days you spent outside the United States (including trips to Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean) during the last five years. Count every trip that lasted 24 hours or longer.

Question 2: Enter the number of trips you have taken outside the United States (including trips to Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean) during the last five years. Count every trip that lasted 24 hours or longer.

You should also include military service abroad. However, extended leave for U.S. Armed Forces purposes will not count against your continuous residence. Make certain to include documents with Form N-400 that demonstrate the time of out the country was for service.

I can't remember all my trips. Help me find travel records.

I have too many trips. What should I do?
